For 20 years, Mothers & More has been connecting mothers to make a difference. Here’s a sampling of how chapters around the country connect with each other and other mothers; connect with their other-than-mother interests; and connect with the issues that affect their lives – all while having fun and taking care of themselves.

• May 14 – Discussion: Sexual Intimacy — Changes and Challenges after Children
• May 30 – Discussion: Community Outreach: We will be presenting representatives from a few of the local nonprofit groups that in some way benefit mothers. The speakers will describe what their organization does and how we, as individuals, or as a group can help out. These are all organizations which have goals that support the Mothers & More mission statement and that we, as a chapter have supported.

• May 2 – Open House: Making connections. Making a difference.
• May 5 – Stir the Pot: Coffee & Conversation - a discussion group focused on our lives as Mothers, our sequencing experiences, and awareness raising on related issues. We're reading Chapters 4 and 5 out of "The Truth About the Mommy Wars" by Miriam Peskowitz; alternately, people can read a 2005 interview with Miriam Peskowitz from MothersMovement.org
• May 9 – Book Club - "Nickel and Dimed: On (Not) Getting By in America" by Barbara Ehrenreich. Part of the 3rd annual Valley Reads, sponsored by the St. Croix Valley ArtReach Alliance. This event brings St. Croix Valley residents together as we read a selection reflecting the theme "All in a Day's Work: Finding Your Place, Seeking Opportunity, Making Connections."
• May 15 – Chapter Meeting: Discovering What Makes Your Family Fully ALIVE! Guest speaker - Martha Franke, Certified Life Coach
• May 17 – Kids' Night Out: Picnic & Twilight Play
• May 20 – Moms' Mini Retreat. Pick your own project! You know, that one you keep intending to finish or make progress on, but find yourself routinely interrupted...
• May 22 – Seasoned Moms Coffee
• May 26 – Moms Night Out: Movie Night

New Jersey
Bergen County Chapter #40

• Moms Night Out at the Apothecary - mini facials, a chair massages, fragrance consultations, foot reflexology, make overs, cosmetic sample goodie bags, wine, food, fun, & great conversation.
